The Cambodia software developer has created many Khmer Unicode fonts. As we know that Khmer ancestors are very creative who is build Angkor wat. Khmer also has many font types such as Round (moul) styles, Triangle (Cheung) styles, Handwriting styles, etc. Overmore, Cambodia is a nation that has the highest alphabet count in the world. Khmer language, the official of Cambodia 74 characters long. According to the Guinness Book of World Records, 1995, the Khmer alphabet is the world’s largest alphabet. There are 33 consonants, 23 vowels, and 12 independent vowels.
Most of the fonts Khmer Unicode are free and available to download on the font developer websites. You may also download many font Khmer Unicode from Google Fonts. Some of the fonts Khmer may have a different name but has the same style and layout. For example, font Siemreap, Khmer OS Siemreap is actually the same. But sometimes, even they have the same style and appearance, the font may work perfectly in a specific application or OS. Based on my experience, the font Khmer Unicode with no prefix name like Battambang, Seimreap, Angkor, Dangrek, and Moul may work perfectly in Adobe programs like Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Premieres, etc. Others, like font Khmer OS Battambang, Khmer OS Seimreap, Khmer OS Angkor, Khmer OS Dangrek, may works better in Mac OS.

I’m am a Windows user who is using Windows computers every day. I also have a Mac PC, and when I installed Khmer Unicode fonts that work fine in Windows, some font could not work correctly in Mac. I have researched the solution on the web to solve this problem. In my experience, I found that some font Khmer Unicode may not work correctly in Mac OS, and Some of Khmer Unicode fonts could work on Mac OS computer. You can choose the Khmer Unicode font that I listed below to install on your Mac computer. Windows OS is the most popular os in the world, also in Cambodia. Most of the Khmer Unicode font should work fine on Windows and Microsoft programs like Microsoft Office. You can choose any Khmer Unicode font that you love and install them on your Windows Computer. The early version of Windows, like Windows XP, doesn’t has a Khmer Unicode Keyboard layout pre-installed. Like Windows Vista and Windows 7, these Windows OS have the default Khmer Unicode font that is too small that you may not read Khmer text easily. You can solve Khmer Unicode’s problem on early Windows OS versions such as Windows XP, Windows Vista, and Windows 7 by installing Khmer Unicode software. Other tips about Khmer Unicode font usage.
Some operation systems or applications do not work fine by default. I have already described the problem and solution of Khmer Unicode in the early versions of Windows in the section above in this post. In the past, there is no font Khmer Unicode. And also, it’s a very rear windows application that supports the font Khmer Unicode. Before the 1990s, most Cambodian computer users use the fonts Khmer Limon series generally. But now it seems no want think about this font anymore. The font Limon typing is complex, so the Khmer font developers have made the Khmer Unicode fonts that everyone could type Khmer text faster and easier. Until now, the font Limon still important because it still works in all applications of Windows. You may meed font Khmer Limon in the old soft documents. If your PC doesn’t have font Khmer Limon, you won’t be able to read them. So you need to download the font, Khmer Limon, for your computer. There is a lot of Khmer Unicode font that available to use for free. Some Khmer Unicode fonts may have a different prefix or suffix name, but they have the same appearance, so you do not need to install all of the Khmer Unicode fonts on your computer. The Khmer Unicode fonts may work better in a specific Operation System or application.
